I enjoyed my stay at Shin-Osaka Sunny Stone Hotel, especially because of its friendly staff and convenient location near train stations, making travel around Osaka simple. However, the rooms felt a bit outdated and could use some modernization, which was disappointing considering the price.

Rooms
5.0
The room was clean but quite small and outdated. It felt like it hadn't seen any updates since the 80s, which was a bit off-putting. Also, I couldn't control the temperature, only having the options of low, medium, or high, which made the experience less comfortable.
Service
8.0
The staff were incredibly helpful and polite during my stay. They even provided assistance when I needed options for getting to the Shinkansen, which I appreciated.
Location
7.0
The hotel is in a quiet area, just a short walk from the subway and Shin-Osaka station, which made it easy to explore the city. However, being a bit far from tourist areas could be inconvenient if you're traveling with luggage.
Dining

Breakfast options were decent, with Japanese and Western choices, though I found it lacking in variety compared to what I expected. However, there are some restaurants nearby for quick bites.
Facilities
6.0
The facilities were basic but adequate. Housekeeping kept my room tidy, which I appreciated, and there were options for laundry.

The room was compact but had everything I needed, although the absence of in-room Wi-Fi was a downside for me.

I found my stay at Shin-Osaka Sunny Stone Hotel to be quite satisfactory. The rooms were comfortable, albeit on the smaller side, and the staff were welcoming and helpful. The location was convenient for subway access, though I did notice the surrounding area wasn't particularly lively. Overall, it’s a decent choice for a short stay in Osaka.

While the dining options were decent and reasonably priced, there were very few Western choices. Still, I managed to find a few good spots to eat nearby.

5.8/10

My stay at the Shin-Osaka Sunny Stone Hotel was quite enjoyable, highlighted by its great location and friendly staff. However, the room was a bit small and had some cleanliness issues. The breakfast options were diverse and satisfactory, making it a decent value overall.

Rooms
7.0
The room was quite compact, making it less ideal for two people with luggage. It felt cozy for a single traveler, but the cleaning could have been better; I found some leftover cigarette butts hidden under the bed. The bed was a bit stiff, which affected my comfort at night.

The staff were very polite and accommodating, always ready to assist with any inquiries. They provided useful information about transportation and took care of my luggage issue promptly, which I truly appreciated.
Location

The location was definitely a strong point, just a short walk from Nishinakajima-Minamigata subway station, which connects you swiftly to major areas like Shin-Osaka and Umeda. Although the surrounding area wasn't particularly exciting, it was quiet and convenient for transport.
Dining
9.0
I opted for the included breakfast, which featured a variety of Japanese dishes like noodles, curry, and salad. Each day offered a slight variation, providing a good start to my mornings.
Facilities
7.0
The facilities include a reliable laundry service for those on longer trips and wonderful amenities in the lobby. However, most items were paid for, which I found a bit inconvenient.
